What does Velospur do?

We test, grade, certify, and route used lithium-ion batteries using automated instrumentation. Every battery is assessed for health, assigned a grade, and matched to a second-life application, or sent through approved recycling if it's no longer fit for reuse. It's an industrial process built on instrumentation and data, not informal trading.

How much do you pay for used batteries?

We pay up to ₹1,600/kWh for end-of-life inventory, substantially more than scrap value, which prices batteries by weight rather than residual capacity. We collect from your site, handle disposal responsibly, and provide chain-of-custody documentation so you stay compliant.

Who can sell batteries to Velospur?

We work with EV fleets, service centres, battery swapping operators, telecom and UPS vendors, and OEM networks. Batteries can be working, degraded, damaged, or defective, submit your inventory and we'll assess it. Full batch diagnostics typically complete within 72 hours.

What's included in a Battery Health Certificate?

Each certified battery comes with its State of Health (SOH %), usable capacity, grade (A/B/C), safety status, recommended use case, and estimated remaining cycles, all tied to a unique, traceable Battery ID and Passport ID, with intake site and timestamp recorded. You get the full testing history rather than a "black box."

How much cheaper are certified second-life batteries than new ones?

Our certified batteries run at around 60% of the cost of new, delivering up to 2,000 charge cycles depending on grade. Every unit ships with its testing history, telemetry profile, and a 12-month industrial performance guarantee.

What applications are second-life batteries suited for?

Common deployments include solar and grid-scale energy storage, telecom backup, industrial UPS, light mobility and last-mile vehicles, and battery swapping networks. The recommended use case on each certificate helps match the right battery to the right job, and our team can support custom B2B integrations with full documentation.

How do you handle safety and hazardous materials?

Batteries are managed under ISO-standard environmental controls throughout. This includes certified fire-suppression storage, ADR-compliant hazardous-material logistics, thermal runaway containment, and real-time thermal stability monitoring. Safety-first handling applies to every unit, including damaged or degraded modules.

Is Velospur compliant with environmental regulations?
